Ronaldo returns to training after “flying out” before derby day defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo leads Man United’s dejected teammates back to training after surprising team-mates by ditching them for a derby-day defeat and amid fears of a squad civil war.

Manchester United’s players have returned to Carrington following their humbling 4-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

Ronaldo was among those spotted entering the club’s training facilities ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Rangnick will be hoping that his training sessions at Carrington can help Manchester United recover from their Sunday defeat, which saw them tumble to fifth place in the Premier League table.

On Tuesday, the Manchester United team was photographed arriving at the club’s training facility.

Despite a rumored hip ailment, Cristiano Ronaldo was among those who showed up.

The gaps in Manchester United’s dressing room, on the other hand, may be jeopardizing their prospects of qualifying for the Champions League.

Bailly is said to be frustrated by the fact that out-of-form captain Harry Maguire continues to start ahead of him.

Despite Raphael Varane testing positive for Covid-19, the Ivory Coast international has only made seven appearances for United this season and was on the bench for the 4-1 thrashing against Manchester City.

Meanwhile, after falling down the pecking order under Rangnick, Marcus Rashford is pondering his future at Manchester United.

On Tuesday, Diogo Dalot, who is rumored to be dissatisfied at Man United, reported for training.

Following the controversy surrounding his absence from Sunday’s match, Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United has also been called into question.

Dean Henderson, who is expected to leave the club this summer, was also present at training.

According to Rangnick, Ronaldo, 37, has been ruled out of the Manchester derby owing to a hip flexor injury. Instead of remaining in the United States to assist his teammates, Ronaldo flew to Portugal before the game.

Katia Aveiro, Ronaldo’s sister, threw fuel to the flames by liking a photo that suggested the forward was not hurt.

Now, ahead of the team session on Tuesday afternoon, the superstar has arrived at the club’s training facilities.

The first of several players to arrive at Carrington was Ronaldo. Fred, Diogo Dalot, Dean Henderson, and others arrived in their high-end vehicles.

Manchester United will want to use Tuesday’s training session to assist them prepare for their match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
