At the Santiago Bernabeu, no English team has ever won a Champions League match by more than one goal, with Real Madrid losing only three of their 12 matches against English opponents.

Chelsea will play Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.

In the first match, Thomas Tuchel’s team was humiliated, losing 3-1 in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd.

Tuchel’s side, on the other hand, will be trying for a historic comeback to advance to the next round of the tournament when they visit the Bernabeu.

Both clubs won their games over the weekend, only days after facing off in London.

Chelsea visited Southampton, where they were in fantastic form, scoring six goals against the Saints.

Timo Werner and Mason Mount wowed the crowd with a hat trick each.

Real Madrid defeated Getafe 2-0 at home on Saturday, with goals from Casemiro and Lucas Vazquez ensuring Carlo Ancelotti’s side a comfortable victory.

Tuchel has stated that Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Ben Chilwell would not be traveling with the Chelsea squad for the match.

Cesar Azpilicueta has passed a Covid test and will be ready for selection after missing the weekend’s game against Southampton.

Ferland Mendy, Mariano, and Luka Jovic all trained for Real Madrid following injury worries.

Because Isco and Eden Hazard are unlikely to play owing to injury, they did not workout.

Real Madrid’s starting eleven, according to Diario AS, will be: Courtois, Carvajal, Alaba, Nacho, Mendy, Casemiro, Valverde, Modric, Kroos, Benzema, and Vinicius.

Real Madrid have scored at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches (Champions League).

Chelsea will be in with a real opportunity of turning this tie around if they start as they did against Southampton last weekend.

The Blues thrive in underdog roles and have done so in the past.

As a result, we’ve taken a chance and backed Tuchel’s team to produce one of their best evenings in Champions League history.
