WhatsApp has brought out multi-device functionality to all iOS and Android users, allowing users to use the app on up to four linked devices without the need for a smartphone connection.
Users must join the multi-device beta to enable multi-device support.
Follow the below steps to easily connect WhatsApp on multiple devices.
On your iPhone, open WhatsApp and
go to Settings -> Linked Devices. Tap Join Beta after selecting Multi-Device Beta.
Very easy right? Be ready to begin connecting devices.
Messages can be sent or received using the WhatsApp desktop app or web-based service.
After your devices have been linked, your phone will no longer need to be online.
It s currently not possible to remove messages or discussion threads from a linked device.

It’s worth mentioning that you can’t contact or call users who have an outdated version of WhatsApp on their phone from the web, desktop, or Portal, and you can only have one phone connected to your WhatsApp account at a time.

The function is currently at development stage, WhatsApp warns that it may compromise the performance and quality of the service.Users can however opt out at any time.
WhatsApp is rumored to be working on an iPad version of its app, and the Meta-owned firm has hinted that the launch of multi-device functionality will bring the iPad version closer to availability.
When you join the multi-device beta, you can use WhatsApp on up to four linked companion devices at once without the need to keep your phone connected.

For the best experience, update to the latest version of WhatsApp on your device. After joining the multi-device beta, you’ll need to relink your companion devices.

- Tap JOIN BETA.
iPhone
- Go to WhatsApp Settings.
- Tap Linked Devices.
- Tap Multi-Device Beta.
- Tap Join Beta.
Leave the multi-device beta
Android
- Open WhatsApp > tap More Options
- Tap Linked Devices.
- Tap Multi-device beta.
- Tap LEAVE BETA.
iPhone
- Go to WhatsApp Settings.
- Tap Linked Devices.
- Tap Multi-Device Beta.
- Tap Leave the beta.
